A hidden talent can be one
That you are hiding from the world
In which case you are selling us short
Or one that you are hiding from yourself
In which case you are selling God short
Your talent is not your purpose
But your talent gives you a purpose
Which is serving God with your talents
The surest sign of a hidden talent
Is the craving we call envy
For envy, in God, is the ultimate absurdity–
You find yourself wanting
What you have already been given:
The most important job in the world
In the perfect time and place
With just the right tools for the job
