One of the great things about being Jewish
Or, in my case, becoming Jewish
Is that every Jew has a voice
So, you would be forgiven for thinking that the saying goes:
Two Jews, two opinions
But that’s not how it goes
The saying is:
Two Jews, three opinions
Because the conversation always includes God
So, the highest praise you can give us Jews
Is that Jews are extra
Since the extra part is God
But, of course
Non-Jews aren’t mere extras in the show–
God has extra love
More than we’ll ever need
For every last one of us
