Death, Ego Death, and Death’s End

Our bodies are exactly as strong
as gravity’s resistance makes them;
in recognition of mortality
we symbolize this through the knowledge
that gravity is the weakest
of the four fundamental forces
(weaker, even, than the weak force)

Our minds are exactly as strong
as the resistance encountered in the Real,
but self-realization can only take you so far
in getting real–
Hence, “If you strike me down I shall become
more powerful than you could possibly imagine”
which is another way of symbolizing the fact that
if you look upon the face of God
you will surely die
(thus, the fear of God)

Our souls are exactly as strong
as God can make them
which means they’re built to last forever,
but if you try symbolizing this
you’ll be at it forever
(and a day)
