The Supreme Feat of Survival

the Jews’ most galling offense
is the audacity of their survival,
decoding the latest antisemitic slur–
the smear of “Jewish Supremacy”-
with the truth that the hated “Jewish Supremacist”
is, and always has been, the feared Jewish survivalist
Jews endure–
tragically, ironically,
sealing their fate
with those whose hate
has discovered its perpetual motion machine
The smear, like the abyss from whence it originates, has depth,
alluding to timeworn antisemitic lies–
the “Jewish Supremacist” just a fresh gloss on the same old Jew
who controls the media, the banks, the government;
the world
Have no doubt,
conjoining the disfigurement of Jewish survival into “Jewish Supremacy”
with the vicious deceptions of Jew-hating conspiracy theory
serves one end:
Shattering the foundation stone of post—Holocaust Jewish survival—
the Jewish state of Israel–
with an updated version of the atrocious lie that served to extinguish
6 million Jewish lives
But the souls of those 6 million are eternal
as is the love that will see the Jews of Israel and the diaspora through this latest trial–
The Jews always survive because the love they receive and share freely
is God’s love that is available to every last one of us if we could but bear the responsibility,
a love that is exactly what terrifies the antisemites
because, in their heart of hearts,
they find God’s demands unbearable
