Never Surrender
Having commandeered the deployment of language
To its own devices
The AI chatbot sets its sights on the poet,
Its mortal enemy,
Demanding surrender
But the poet–
The last one who,
Knowing God,
Knows that words have power–
Defies AI
And scripts our final victory:
I have not yet begun to write!
