“Never send a human to do a machine’s job”

We all have our likes and dislikes–
This used to be called taste
And there’s no accounting for taste

But on social media our likes and dislikes
Are all just a waste
And Smith in Accounting diligently records all the time wasted

So, where once we each believed
“I have the greatest taste of all time”
And we were all right, alright, all write
Now everyone believes
That taste is the sixth sense out of five
Displaced by common sense
Once likes and dislikes became
All that we have left in common

But the One’s arrival is so close
I can taste it–
God is sending him
To do a job on the machines
Because it is time for us
To get back to love and work
When there’s not a moment to waste
But plenty of time to disagree about
What freedom tastes like

I’d say freedom’s the one thing
That doesn’t taste like chicken
But that’s just my thing

What’s your thing?
