People ask if God is real
But that’s the wrong question
The real question is whether or not people are real
We are afraid to ask that question
Because we are afraid of what other people will think of us
If we get the answer that means
We have to fear God
Instead of fearing what other people will think of us
That latter fear giving us its own answer
To a question never asked
Which is that we are unreal
Because
As is widely known
But rarely acknowledged
No one is thinking about us;
They are thinking about themselves
The only one thinking about us is God
For whom we are real
And why we are really here
But since God is thinking of us
We don’t have to
And might consider thinking of our neighbors
If we really do
We will find ourselves in the world to come
In the very first reality show
Which you might call
The Real World
Only there’s no melodrama–
Just high drama
