“The autonomic nervous system controls breathing automatically, without conscious thought”

One of the clearest differences between God and the devil
Is that all of God’s rules
Are written down in the Torah
While the devil strictly relies on unwritten rules

This is because
When God puts it in writing
The writing is on the wall–
The wall is what stands between us and God
And we dismantle it one brick at a time
Each day that we try and fail to follow the law
Until we’ve finally succeeded and the wall is gone
And we find that the law remains in the air
As the breath of life
For having torn down the wall
God and His law are the very air we breathe
Taking in God’s love with the in-breath
And sharing it out to all with the out-breath

You might call the law
God’s autonomic nervous system
Though with God you’re never really nervous
Despite all the excitement

Whereas keeping you nervous is precisely the reason
All the devil’s rules are unwritten
Keeping you guessing whether you’ve pleased your master
In turn making self-mastery impossible
Never knowing in your anxiety
Who you are for the other
Thus tasking you with the impossible:
Total control of the other

Which, taken to its logical conclusion
Leads to the unwritten rules’ unseen but implacable bottom line:
Kill the other

Because in serving the devil you are as invisible as your rules
While in the face of the other
You see the law staring back, right through you

But there’s a catch
As there always is with unwritten rules–
You can kill the other once
You can even kill the other six million times
But you still can’t kill the Eternal People

You can’t win; in fact, you’re lost forever

It says so right here, in writing–
I copied it from the Torah
