Patience Involves Doing, Not Waiting
Waiting for a sign
Is a sign of the times
And while we were waiting
God kept delivering the raw material
One day at a time
But like good materialists
Worshipping the sun
Instead of working with the light
We decided that time is money
And worshipped money
Now
Where money makes more of itself
Time steadily pours itself out
Like rain on a garden
Where we toil endlessly
In an effort to save money
As if time is all we’ve got
Rather than exactly what we need
There’s plenty of time
So long as we remember
We’ve not a moment to lose
