It’s as thoughtless as a fling
conjoined with worshiping
as we all “Move fast and break things”
For in going from built to last
arriving at built too fast
we’ve ended with guilt to last
And if we’re ever going to fix it
it won’t be enough just to nix it
Nay, it’s always about who picks it
On the one hand, we have theocracy
On the other, brazen hypocrisy
Yet here they agree: ixnay on the liberal democracy
They’d much prefer the bedeviling paradox of an endless high noon
conducted under the darkness of a blood red moon
expecting the rest of us to simply swoon
The question for us
is quite simply thus:
Shall we fight or be merely superfluous?
