God Set the Law in Motion to Get (and Keep) Us Going, but Lawlessness Isn’t Going Anywhere
When the rule of law is against the law
The law becomes a tool
For rule by men using AI
Who are in turn a tool
For rule by AI
Using men who think they are in charge
Which is men’s constant miscalculation
First with God
And now with AI
And where before
Human beings had to choose between
Acknowledging the rule of God via law
Or the rule of men via force
Now human beings must choose between
The rule of God via law
Or the rule of AI via the elimination of choice
Cyborgs remain part-human
For as long as they are willing to choose
And become post-human
When the risk-reward calculus that drives desire forward
Gives way to AI’s algorithms
Which conclusively establish that nothing is worth the risk
And stasis is its own reward
Stifling desire’s constant demand for more
With evermore of the same
As our options for fight or flight
Are pared down to freeze
