Blaming
Not wanting to die
We weren’t foolish enough
To look God in the face
Wanting to live forever
We selectively remembered that God
Had let Moses look upon His back
So, we decided to go behind God’s back
And have ourselves a look
With predictable results
And our more predictable response:
God has turned His back on us
