He gathered up used paper A broken mug and coffee pot A cracked plate, a crooked rake And a tomato that begun to rot He gathered these things thinking
What if the old man Who snored when it was pouring Did in fact not get up When it was morning What if after a ring of rosies
Mean Jean The pie eating queen For miles wide She could be seen She’d eat the crusts
I climbed up a tree once Just to look out I sat and I watched As a bird flew about I looked down to notice
They say if you shoot for the moon… You’ll just end up in the stars... But if stars are just burning gas The chances are you won’t get far.…
