My organizing principle
Is that everyone wants to be principal
Unless they realize that God is principal
And that for God
Everyone is principal
In this world
That sounds impossible
As we believe
Only one person at a time
Gets to be in charge
Of others
In the world to come
Everyone will believe in God
As everyone will see the obvious–
Everyone gets to be in charge of themselves
All the time
Which doesn’t sound like much authority
But it’s more than enough
Because for God it’s everything
