Tyler Steven Clark

The look out

There was a man
With the largest of eyes
They said he could see
For miles wide
A job as a lookout
For a captain he’d take
With eyes so big
There was no room for mistake
He’d spot land at such a distance
It shocked
But his fatal mistake
Was one to mock
Since he forgot to look down
At the ship wrecking rocks
