A Call to Speak
"Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20
In fear we’d offend anyone
The truth languishes in our lips
Unspoken, a verbal eclipse
Its light forever dimmed and gone
But we’re signed up to speak His word
His mouthpiece, we’re supposed to be
Spread the good news from sea to sea
Till the world is of one accord
He gave us the great commission
Of all nations, make disciples
Shining beacon to all peoples
Rock the world to its foundation
Shout the three angels’ solemn cry
To every tribe and tongue and land
God’s truth must boldly take its stand
While yet there’s time to testify
There’s still time left—it’s not too late
But we must be unwavering
In our faith, true and undying
And our mission, must never wait
Let us be the salt of the earth
Let our lives be a testament
And our conduct be a statement
To show the Savior’s boundless worth
Let not the truth be unspoken
And in our lips, never languish
That sin, with His words be vanquished
And every chain of lies broken
Though once we feared to raise our voice
Now, truth ignites a holy flame
We go with purpose, not with shame
In Him, we boldly now rejoice
