What Do Dreams and True Stories Have in Common? They Both Require Interpretation.

Early on a Friday morning
Just before I awakened
My rabbi said, in a dream
So, this is the way the Torah works:

But before he could explain
My alarm clock went off

I woke up again the next morning
On Shabbos
And went to shul
Where my dream came true
As my rabbi continued with his explanation:
The Torah is a vessel
With which
God transports us to this world
And through which
God pours out His gifts on all of us
So that in turn each of us
Can give our gifts to this world
End of story
Which is the true never-ending story

All errors in interpretation
Are, of course
Mine
And, like you
I have a gift for learning from them
