A hot steamy night at the beach, by the dune
He walks barefoot in the white sand; he gaz’d
Pensively at the starlit sky; the half-moon
Shining bright; he stood puzzled yet amaz’d
Yes, he’s alone tonight; but it’s not his choice
And now, he has to fathom what he wants to do
The music has stopped; he hears none but noise
His life’s in turmoil, when his love bid adieu!
He is adrift; as he looks out at the dark ocean
The waves are ominous, and the breeze brisk
Nary a beacon close, nor in the far horizon
But the moon’s bright, thus no ships are at risk
In his personal ocean, he feels totally lost!
No light house to steer him safely to shore
His dream of happiness, nothing but a ghost...
Buffeted by tall waves, his love is no more!
He looks at the heavens; the moon shines bright
And deep within him, he felt a glimmer of hope
Yes, trials and tribulations in the darkest night
But heaven will be at his side, and he will cope!
