Gift from Olympus

People often say that ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder,’ and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves.
— Salma Hayek

The one you will love, you don’t get to choose
Higher powers will send you to your muse
Her beauty and her charms you can’t refuse
Gods of Olympus ignited the fuse

An unwitting victim of Cupid’s dart
The sharp arrow’s imbedded in your heart
No way to disentangle and depart
So, enjoy the ride, fall in love, play smart

For someone the gods chose, can’t be that bad
Her testimonials should be ironclad
Turning your back on romance will be mad
Your life will lonesome be, forever sad!

Then the time came you finally saw her
Your eyes lit up; your jaw dropped in wonder
Much finer specimen will be harder
To find under the skies nor anywhere.

She’s got lovely eyes, killer eyelashes
Gaze penetrates, can turn one to ashes
Infectious her smile, sweet as molasses
Wavy her hair, in the air she tosses
Ravishing her face, she smells of roses
Her skin so soft and smooth, no blemishes
Breath-taking stunning porcelain goddess
In this world her beauty has few matches!

Now you’re joyful,  thankful for your blessing
Every night when with her, your heart will sing
Joy! soon as you wake up in the morning
Pray you will, this will be everlasting!
