Advice from an Old Man

“Listen to your elder’s advice. Not because they are always right, but because they have more experience of being wrong...”
- Unknown

Hang in there when life treats you badly
Fight for it and never give up too easily
Dreams you realize are that much sweeter
When the struggle is longer and tougher!

Problems in life, they’re always present
Grin and bear it, never ever lament
Don’t let troubles darken your smile
Show the world you got pizazz and style

Every day a new challenge will await you
In the morning, never start the day blue
Meet it head on, don’t let the enemy win
When you triumph, the happiness is within

Let every day be a rose and never a thorn
At the end of day, celebrate, never mourn
Count your smiles, throw away your tears
Tally all your joys and discard your fears

When you feel that life passed you by
Feeling guilty you let the moments fly
Despair not, there’s time to make amends
Ask forgiveness from enemies and friends

My friend, this advice’s not just for you
These wise words are for me too
All the buzz words I’ve got, and then some
But the will to do, from my heart must come!
