EUROPE THE BAND

I drive

https://www.instagram.com/p/C9rkO8SCbgE

I drive, memory smiling
vitreous humor on the lips,
twenty kilometers of moonlight
in the pupil cut and shorten
more than thirty years,
three decades “unenchanted.”
I drive, microscopic musics
create space, begin without beginning,
start without commencement,
burst without explosion,
silent Big Bang of half a century
now revealed delicacy of youth.
I can’t believe I am to hear
the music that once,
without knowing,
made me happy and free,
more of Venus than of Earth,
a planet of reminders of great tragedies.
It’s the final countdown,
barely twenty minutes pause my rebirth,
a small odyssey of intertemporal return,
internal, uncontrolled ecstasy apparent calm,
unknown happiness.
So long I had spent
among the enemies of the sun,
an army of realities armed to the teeth,
rifles even in the clouds,
risk, vertigo, crushing trotting
buildings of the infernal,
that I had not dreamed
again the mature, pleading tree
with its seed.
Today, a transient flower
will pin the piano note
in the drop
and open for the last time,
tender greeting of farewell.
How many lives do I have left
to discover, how much more must I be reborn
by collision now that speeds of light
composed of universes approach?
To fill myself with your strange stars,
to fill you with my strange stars,
to extend beauty:
verseplanets orbiting pianopoems,
only pleasure and vast force,
graviting ourselves with astro-bodies
and shedding our souls,
hemispheres that catch each other
to let go and return in freedom.
I find no reason for you to cry
for I feel that this song has existed forever
and there will be no more farewells
when the lights go down.
