We Can Talk Our Way Out of This, but It Has to Be In-person

There is a place
Where children are to be seen
And not heard
Where all the children are raised
To keep up appearances
Without ever finding their voice

Miraculously, a small minority
Raised their voice anyway
And the majority couldn’t believe
What they were hearing:
A free mind can be spoken into existence

Bust as word spread
People couldn’t stop talking about it
And as long as they didn’t
Freedom couldn’t be stopped

But the old guard was bound and determined
To put a stop to that
Conceiving a device
To put the voice
Back in its box
Only this time
It would be a black box
Such that no one can say
How anything works
Other than to say
You have to see it to believe it

And conveniently
The device has a screen for that
