Those Who Can’t Do, Think
How can you tell the pseudo-intellectuals
From the overly intellectual?
The former will tell you how
While the latter will tell you to show, don’t tell
But since I can’t tell
Which category I fall into
I’ll just say this:
It was once widely acknowledged that
In God
All things are possible
But in our bootstrapped, bedeviled disbelief
We have done the impossible
In denial of the undeniable
Thereby layering the cogito into conscious and unconscious elements
Like so–
I think therefore I am
do not of God afraid
It is only when we bring God back into consciousness
That everything shifts
And we get back to the work we love–
I am afraid of God, therefore I do, not think
