If I’ve learned one thing from Passover
it’s that until I believe in God
I will be enslaved to others
That would have been enough!
But I also learned that
when I believe in God
I am in charge of myself
and God is in charge of everything else
And that would have been enough!
But it doesn’t stop there:
Impossibly,
when you believe in God
you are in charge of yourself
and God is in charge of everything else
including me
even as
in my relationship to God
I’m in charge of myself
and God’s in charge of everything else
including you
By now, you’re probably thinking
“I’ve heard enough”
But it’s up to you
what you mean by that
