Tides of Dawn

"The sky broke like an egg at the horizon, spilling the first light of dawn."
Unknown
"Our bodies have five senses: touch, smell, taste, sight, hearing. But not to be overlooked are the senses of our souls: intuition, peace, foresight, trust, empathy".
C. Joybell C.

He felt invigorated
When the cold air touched his skin
Watching the sun rising up
Beautiful magical scene
He could taste the salty spray
With wintry air he breathed in
The sulfurous ocean smells
Mingled odors, raw and keen
Waves drummed softly in his ear,
Distant echo so serene

The chill; the salt on his lips
Scents of the ocean so clean
The pounding waves, rhythmic beat
And the dawn’s bright golden sheen
Nature’s grandeur on display
Lofty mountains evergreen
Cloud-free skies cerulean blue
As birds in chorus convene
All his senses gratified
A glorious morning it’s been
