Our sojourn in Eden o’er soon
White sand beaches crystal waters
Golden sunsets strawberry moon
Dinners at dusk long walks after
Sad and wistful but life goes on
We’re together that’s what matters
The island’s been our Noah’s Ark
Kept us afloat in horrid times
Kept us safe when the days were dark
When the threat of disaster climbs
Happy as the proverbial lark
We praise the Lord in songs and rhymes
Not the Ark that keeps us secure
Rather the Lord’s loving embrace
Our souls safe and our body sure
As we feed off His divine grace
Otherwise how could we endure
This lonesome though beautiful place
So back to our home in a few
Our hideaway near the city
A cozy nest for just us two
Our haven from uncertainty
Fruitful life we’ll try to pursue
Hopeful it’ll be a cup of tea
New Noah’s Ark, our home shall be
Safe from the world and its peril
A backyard paradise we’d see
Early morn by the windowsill
When trials over and we’re free
Praises to Him we surely will!
