Don’t force what isn’t meant to stay
For bonds too tight, will rip in two
Let friendships form their own sweet way
What’s forced is never pure nor true
Love, too, when pressed, will fade and bend
Like flowers plucked before their time
But freely let love grow, my friend
And see how strong it starts to climb
What flows will flow, let rivers run
And let what crashes sink or rise
For forcing things is never fun
Peace comes freely when we’re more wise
Release the grip; let go with ease
What isn’t yours will drift away
The winds will blow just as they please
No matter if we beg or pray
So trust in life, its steady course
For freedom comes when we don’t fight
What’s meant to be—requires no force
And with it comes both joy and light
