WOODS’ AND WATER’S PEACE

Taken to the water’s edge,
Maken by her feet.
Maken on the way a pledge,
Taken a retreat.
Waken on the leaf-made ledge,
Shaken free debris.
Shaken down into the wedge,
Waken life in her.

No sight,
No sound,
That she has found,
Shows so naturally.

As when she vedges,
On the rippling edge,
Where the woods and waters meet.
