Like your name,
You gather up the light
And, smiling, share its wonder,
Somehow persuade the bleakest day
To part its clouds,
Reveal the sun, the wealth
Of its fragmented rays.
And as each angles off
To reach and brighten
All the dark and lonely places,
They look on, themselves in wonder,
Having caught a glimpse, perhaps,
Of promises once made,
Of final hopes unspoken.
