The Drifting

My boat is adrift on the high seas
with no rudder, no engine, no power,
at the mercy of the winds and the tide,
the waves crashing against the boat,
coming over the side,
and here I am just drifting.

What will be my fate?
Will I reach the shore sometime?
Will there ever be a shore?
Will I die crashing onto the rocks?
Will I ever see my loved ones again?
Will I reach a sandy beach?
Will God deliver me into good hands?

Here I am at the mercy of the seas.
I will find out what God
has in store for me.
Whatever happens, I know that
God will take care of me;
that my fate will be comforting
whether in life or death.
He is in complete command now,
more than I ever knew.
I am prepared for my destiny now.
