Words and Wings

Words and Wings, silence and thought,
earth made buoyant as heaven overcomes,
words sprouting wings to reach the sky,
carnal engines of acumen and strength
churning in the mind
with velvet pistons brushing against the walls,
heeding the words from the highest mounts
to take flight and find the way to the paradise
as poets give wings to them to fly and fly.

a journey made holy by the grace of God,
an ascension of the mind and its enrichment,
a phenomenon of the power of thought
from the silence that paves the way for it
and the celestial music that floats into the heart
and pours the helium into the vessels.

Words become buoyant from the lofted air
and the wings sprout from the upward thrust.
O such an exhilarating ascension as the
words empower the upward movement.
Words and wings, thou hast taken me away.
