Spiraling to the Sun

She spirals up to the sun on a graceful climb,
clinging to a gilded wire to a melodic rhyme.

She churns and floats as all aerialists dance
with the music claiming its proud dominance.

It lifts her up as she soars with the eagle’s flight
up and up and to the crimson colored twilight.

She clings to her wire as she nears the sun
in an artistic turning and daring run,

suspended in great heights on her gilded wire
up into the lofted lands of peril and fire,

her heart in her mouth and her ears to the music
through the skies and wind and clouds so thick,

spiraling into the sun in a lyrical manner;
she of grace from a dancer’s realm of honor,

dancing and swinging with her body in sync,
glued to the music with no time to think,

her feet and arms, a portrayal of elegance
of a high honor to the music so intense.

Oh beautiful ballerina of the skies thou art
thy slender self as a lion and a lion’s heart,

you are so beautiful in your upward motions
with your aesthetic ears to the skyborne oceans,

spiraling gracefully, swinging softly, so very smooth,
such beautiful climbing as you dance and move,

spiraling into the sun so gracefully, thy poetic dancer,
sinking into the sun, thou of the bravest– -– -– -– - -

I got inspired from watching the aerialist on "America's Got Talent" TV show last night.
