Ode to an Easter Lily

 
Your grand appearance around Easter time
is a joyful event of Mother Nature’s design.
You peak your head up through the earth
dressed in green in happiness and mirth.
 
Then you change your wardrobe into white
and flaunt your beauty for my delight.
Every Easter I wait for you to appear;
then wait again for each and every year.
