O Sacred Path
O sacred path, how glossy thou art,
so smooth to let in the fragile smiles
of spiritual contentment that
need a clear path to reach the heart,
to flow around the jagged edges
of religious contention
that are formed by man-made beliefs.
Blessed be the will of love and truth
that lives deep down in the soul of man,
that wards off any invasion of false Messiahs
that contend for dominance over the other.
Blessed is he who refuses to join forces
with all contending religions that
are building up their armies to go to war.
Blessed be the conscience in the soul
that keeps its credibility throughout
and acts as the peacemaker that
brings all aggression to a standstill.
And blessed is he who keeps the
path free of any obstructions
that will stop the flow of pure spirit
that is needed to maintain a pure heart.
