Jet Stream Rogues

Jet stream rogues of the commanding seasons,
children of the manic tempest at play,
snaking their own way
through the yielding skies,
breaking ranks and running amuck
with a mind of their own,
rolling in the skies and laughing at the
uniformity of the seasons
and their regimental functioning;
the snowing in the season of snowing
and the blistering sun in its proper season,

rebels against the sun and the way
the earth rolls around it,
trying to alter the rotation,
the unyielding motion that began
when Mother Earth saw her first light.

With arms too weak and mind too capricious,
they are chased away by the
eternal power that propels the seasons.

They are only temporary and led by the
whimsical mood of the restless air.
They are fools that fool only fools.
