Poetic In Heart

To the One Who Listen

I’m sorry if I care too much,
Or say too much, or dream of touch,
Of words that see, that understand.
A heart held gently in someone’s hand.

I know I’m messy, weird, and flawed,
I know I might be pushing hard,
But finding someone who’ll stay awhile,
Makes all the waiting feel worthwhile.

So, if you’ll see me as I am,
Not perfect, maybe hard to plan,
I’ll still be here, with open arms,
A hopeful heart, and harmless charms.

This poem reflects the heart of someone who craves love and connection but fears being abandoned. They want to share their affection deeply, yet they worry their intensity might push others away. It's a vulnerable expression of a love-deprived soul, hoping to be truly seen and accepted, yet afraid of ending up alone.
