Poetic In Heart

Enough for Me

Embracing the Quiet Strength Within

I’ve stitched the wounds, thread by thread,
Healing words where silence bled.
It took me years to even try,
To look in the mirror and not ask why.

I don’t adore the face I see,
But I’ve learned to set it free.
Not perfect, not whole, but I’m alive,
And loving myself is how I’ll survive.

In a world that’s harsh and often cold,
I’ve found a warmth I can hold.
Not from them, not from the sky,
But within me—a quiet sigh.

Enough for Me is about the long, quiet journey to self-love and acceptance. It speaks to the scars we carry, the years spent questioning and hiding, and the slow realization that we are enough as we are. It’s about healing the wounds that no one can see and finding a sense of peace not in perfection, but in the simple act of being alive. In a world that can feel cold and harsh, this poem reminds us that the warmth we search for is within, and learning to embrace ourselves, imperfections and all, is how we survive.
