two spirits
locked eyes
words unspoken
loved one another
nurtured a soul
nourished with
virtues of empathy
kindness compassion
in the mother’s womb
a cocoon of caring
gratitude and love
hope and faith
bespeaking a soul
a loving giving soul
in heaven found
a will done on earth
with love a continual journey
of concern for the unfortunate
finding happiness helping
the poor in spirit ascend
with hope a continual journey
of dreams aspirations
optimistic of desired outcomes
that altogether will be shared
with faith a continual journey
of spiritual belief
in the existence of a place
where hope and love reside
such that mankind can
multiply as was asked for
in harmony and in peace
accepting of one another
helping in one another’s growth
respecting one another’s presence
recognizing a mutual affection
of one another’s warts and all
