Fill, Shake, Bend, Break

Inject me with your pain
Push it all toward me
Wash over me like rain
 
You can look right through me
I am frozen in time
Each touch sets me free
 
Sometimes I wonder if this is real
Or am I dreaming of the untrue
I am certain though of how I feel
 
Nightmares of the worst ending
Rooted in spite and boredom
A fracture much past mending
 
Strange how it feels the same
When the heart fills and shakes
As when it bends and breaks
 
I can channel my own energy
Enough to get what I want
But you endure me, elude me
 
I will always mean I love you
But swept off my feet
This feeling is something new
 
I could love you until the day I die
But you allowing that
Would be the biggest lie
