Finding Self
If one could only see,
How skewed life can really be,
Maybe we would all stop chasing,
And learn it’s ourselves we should be facing.
Instead of the falsities that fill our heads,
Or the nameless faces in our beds.
The self will always find you out,
And know more of what you’re about,
There is no use trying to run,
Same as trying to hide from the sun.
As long as you know who you are,
No one can possibly leave any scar,
But don’t get lost inside your mind,
That missing person is especially hard to find.
