Seduced by the sheen of the silks,
Enticed by the sweetness of the fruits,
I stripped the nymph off her silks,
And left her bare to the bone,
I scraped the juicy flesh off the fruit,
And tossed away the naked stone,
Little that I cared what I have done,
That there lives a sacred soul,
Inside the nymph and the stone, that I disowned!
