I Am Alive!

At times, I sit alone just thinking,
I feel worried that my boat is sinking,
I close my eyes and focus on the sounds so near,
Wind blowing, birds chirping, leaves rustling,
Heaven sent sounds,
Let me know, “ I am alive!”
Being alive is not always like a bed of roses,
Sweet to the smell, red, yellow, orange and pink,
These are the special colors that help me think,
Special thoughts of love and peace,
Emotions hidden, I now release,
Heaven sent memories let me know,
“I am Alive!”
I admit though at times,
I feel lost and weak,
Because of my loosing streak,
For loss is a great set back,
A frustrating, depressing, emotional fact,
This happens when I sit alone thinking,
I feel worried my boat is sinking,
So self I say, “Get up now, alone I must not be!”
“Go out; look for friends, acquaintances, or just family.”
Someone to stand at my side,
A helping hand, a warm heart,
Someone, with whom I may confide,
Heaven sends its regards that remind me,
“I am alive!”

Death of a loved one can be depressing, questions arise, but often reality is undeniable"I am alive". I say, "This not good-bye, but only, "I will see you later!", at the great reunion.
