Jae Rychlewski

July Motive

Shackled to a yearning,
Dripping face chin to the earth,
Not buried yet,
Nor glum nor trite,

Earths pleasures,
Forget it’s dust,
Holistically withstand,
With clear head held high.

Seek love through the silence raging inside,
Tread lightly through the winters weary days,
Speak less of the conditions,
of surplus virtues,
Blaze bright and hold your hand to your heart.
