right above the rooftop
At the bottom of the rain spout...
the barrel awaits for every drop.
Call our friends to dance and play.
Wash the filth and dirt away
Enjoy the flow of rain today
For now, out here, we are to stay!

Next to it, we will build
mud castles and a bridge
If the rain comes to a halt,
we’ll consider not to bolt.
Pots and pans, we’re to mold,
cups and kettle... they must hold
If the sun must come up,
It will bake them right-side up

Remembering childhood play in the rain. Molding pots and pans out of mud / clay to be used for another day's game... Surprisingly, those pots and pans get hard enough! I used to enjoy building castles and bridges out of mud/clay instead of sand castles... :) We, my siblings and childhood playmates, resourceful enough those days for mere entertainment/ play.
