The Dark is Gone

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
Eleanor Roosevelt

It’s over now; the dark is gone
The thunder clouds dissolve at dawn
The morning mist gives way to day
No spirits haunt where night held sway

The creatures I once feared have fled
Their shadows scorched by light instead
The sun climbs high above the sea
No trace of fear or harm to be

The brilliance fills the skies once more
And hope begins its bloom and soar
The light now paints the sky in blue
Dispersing gloom with colors true
At last, the monsters meet their end
As peace and light help wounds to mend
