The Apple’s Revenge
"millions saw the apple fall, but Newton asked why"
Bernard Baruch
Hanging way up high
Minding my own business—when
Snap—there goes my stem
Tumbling down to meet his head
Hope it leaves a lump so red
Bouncing off his skull
What a strange and startled look
Rubbing at the spot
I just gave him quite a whack
Might have heard a little crack
Now, my tale’s famous
But they leave out one small truth
I was very rude
Did I fall to teach the wise?
Or just blacken both his eyes?
