Acana sugar mill, by Justo G. Cantero
ElidethAbreu

**Ode to the Spanish Tongue**

A whistle calls across the peaks and caves,
A summons in the heritage of Spain.
In Spanish, we convene, our hearts ablaze,
United by the words our language strains.

The rolling 'r’ resounds with Spanish flair,
The lilting cadence dances in our ears.
We weave a tapestry of words, so fair,
Expressing thoughts and dreams through joy and tears.

Castilian’s legacy lives on in sound,
A melody that echoes through the years.
Its syllables ignite passions profound,
Transcending time, dispelling buried fears.

From Cervantes’ quills to Lorca’s flaming verse,
Spanish’s power knows no bounds or girth.
It paints with words, portraying our universe,
A language born of passion and of birth.
