The stolen kiss, by Jean-Honoré Fragonard

Love’ S Sacred Song

So hallowed is the flame of love, they say,
A golden dream that paints our darkest days.
A treasure held so dear, so far above
The realms of all that’s ordinary and base.

With wings of longing, it sets our souls afloat,
Lifting us higher than we’ve ever flown.
Its touch, a gentle breeze, caresses every note,
A symphony of passion, truly our own.

In whispered words and glances ever bright,
It weaves a tapestry of pure delight.
A sacred fire, burning ever clear,
Guiding us through life with its ethereal light.

Like larks at dawn, our hearts in flight do sing,
Love’s sacred song, a cherished, blessed thing.
