**Echoes of the Past**
Words scatter lost, without solace’s grace,
Life clipped, a splinter, not a rooted stem.
Norms lured me astray, imprisoned in a chase,
A captive gull, my dreams deprived of them.
Fragile greenery, damp and weeping sore,
Remnants of desires that never bloomed.
Aspirations shackled, an ancient lore,
Time’s march consumed them, sadness their doomed.
Whispers stifled, affections all denied,
In the maze of rules, I roamed, a soul astray.
Memories linger, remnants of my pride,
A chronicle of hopes that went astray.
Yet, in the grass, a trace of what could be,
A life denied, now but a silent plea.
A sigh of yearning, a discord softly sung,
Holding the secrets that never came to strung.
