what is it about you
that captured my interest
was it the art of the eye
or the poetry it contained
was it your twin lenses
unique in their approach
or the on top view finder
built for action on the streets
perhaps it was the fact that I could
hold you tightly by the waist
while gazing through the window
of an equally creative soul
or perhaps it was your very essence
timelessly polished and styled
by the angle of your curves
for which you were not lacking
maybe it was the fact
that we were parallel works
wrought by the designs of our making
or maybe it was our mutual ability
to frame each and every moment
with a thousand words of our choosing
all I know is that as I stood there
I felt like a man
exposed to new possibilities
desiring to know all that we were built for
emboldened to discover our innermost workings
our ability to create in a kingdom where thoughts became real by the power of their virtue
surreal our design
as the evening began
seeping through your shutters
providing us a moment of heightened perception
as the light began speaking with intensity about a world not fixed but open to interpretation
thus it was
that with our ink stained eyes
we pondered the stories
we could tell together
